Things you can say to me as an interior designer that will make me nod vigorously in agreement
(I hear these all the time from clients in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.)
I recently asked my private interior design community this question… and the answers were uncannily familiar.
If you’ve ever said (or thought) any of the following, you’re exactly the kind of person who benefits from working with an interior designer:
“I’ve lost my confidence making decisions, I can’t pull it together.”
“I’m worried about spending money and getting it wrong.”
“We’ve renovated, but the house still doesn’t feel finished.”
“I want to use colour, but I don’t trust myself to get it right.”
“I’ve saved loads of interior inspiration, but it doesn’t work in real life.”
“I don’t have the time to think this through properly.”
“I want it to feel calm, considered and interesting — not bland.”
“It needs to work for busy family life, not just look good in photos.”
“I’m bored of the space, but I can’t explain why.”
“I want our home to feel like us, not a show home.”
These are some of the most common reasons clients come to me for interior design support — especially busy corporate professionals who want a home that feels cohesive, personal and beautifully finished without the stress.
A great interior designer helps you:
make confident decisions
avoid costly mistakes
use colour and pattern with clarity
and create a home that works effortlessly for real life
If this list made you nod along, it’s probably a sign you don’t need more Pinterest boards… you need a clear plan and expert guidance.
And yes — that’s exactly what I do. 😉
